Access, opportunity, engineering – and you!
The Minnesota Professional Engineers Foundation is committed to expanding our mission work in the community. We’ve been providing scholarships, early career support, and activities such as MATHCOUNTS in Minnesota for decades, but there is much more to do.
Opportunity: We invite volunteers to join one or both of two groups to guide strategy and advocate for the Minnesota Professional Engineers Foundation:
- Board of Directors
- Development Committee
Commitment: 5-6 hours per month, including one meeting every other month
This is a great opportunity to meet other people committed to broader access to engineering and other STEM-related education, and create new opportunity in our community.

Serving as an MPEF board member or on the Development Committee not only supports the work of MPEF, but is also a huge opportunity for both personal and professional growth for each board member.
You will meet people you likely never knew before – from different industries, varying engineering disciplines and diverse backgrounds – each with their own reasons for serving. Alongside your new colleagues, you will hone important skills like communication, group dynamics and leadership while you join forces to continue to grow the impact of MPEF.Mary Detloff, Executive Director, Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers
