We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Oraskovich, P.E., to the Board of Directors of Engineering Alliance Foundation Minnesota.
Kyle joined Enbridge in 2013, where he supports operations throughout Minnesota as a field engineer/regional engineer. Before joining Enbridge, Kyle designed and managed high voltage powerline projects with Great River Energy. He holds a degree in civil engineering with a minor in construction management from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
Kyle discovered Engineering Alliance Minnesota—formerly called the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MnSPE)—while pursuing his degree. “As I learned more about MnSPE, I felt it was a good way to keep involved with industry news and be part of the continuing education opportunities MnSPE offers.”
When Kyle saw the invitation to join the Board of Directors of Engineering Alliance Foundation Minnesota, he was intrigued.
“I was looking for a way to become more involved in the community and the industry. I felt it was a good opportunity to connect with peers and also contribute to a good cause.”
Kyle’s interest in engineering stems from his enjoyment of country life while growing up in Clearbrook, a small town in northern Minnesota’s Clearwater County. Engineering proved the right fit for his passion for the outdoors and commitment to personal and professional excellence.
“I always wanted to push myself and I felt engineering would provide an opportunity to use my skills and interests in a challenging career,” Kyle says. As a civil engineer, he supports outdoor projects ranging from roads to bridges to pipelines. Now, as a board member of Engineering Alliance Foundation Minnesota, he will bring his professional skills to create opportunities for students to study engineering fields and establish a career.
Through fundraising and affiliations with partner organizations, Engineering Alliance Foundation Minnesota provides scholarships, grants, sponsorships and materials to support the education of students pursuing engineering as a career, as well as the continuing education of professional engineers.
